FanDuel Hires Keith Whyte as Responsible Gaming Strategic Advisor

Responsible Gaming Education Month is underway, and FanDuel is using the moment to expand its leadership in safer gambling practices. The company announced that Keith Whyte will join as its new Responsible Gaming Strategic Advisor, bringing more than three decades of experience to the table.

For FanDuel, the appointment is about strengthening programs that help players enjoy sports betting responsibly. Whyte will advise the company’s strategy, guide advocacy efforts, and support collaborations across the industry. He is also preparing to feature in Gaming America’s September/October issue, where his work on safer gambling will be highlighted.

Whyte’s career spans more than 30 years in the field of prevention and safer gambling. At the National Council on Problem Gambling, he led national awareness campaigns, treatment programs, and policy advocacy, leaving a lasting impact on both players and regulators. His new advisory role at FanDuel ensures those lessons will now shape one of the largest sportsbook operators in the U.S.

Beyond policy, Whyte will work closely on FanDuel’s Trusted Voices initiative, which creates open conversations about gambling risks between adults and young people. The program, launched last year with Epic Global Solutions, remains central to FanDuel’s mission of building a sustainable player community.
