ClubWPT Gold will stop sweepstakes poker play in Nevada from September 28 as the platform responds to what it called changes in the regulatory environment.
Purchases have already been disabled for users physically located in Nevada. Players have until October 2 to submit redemption requests, while ClubWPT Gold said product changes could eventually allow a return.

Nevada Exit Comes After ClubWPT Gold Model Change
ClubWPT Gold changed its business model in September 2025 as more states restricted sweepstakes gaming.
The platform removed its former Gold Coin structure and shifted toward poker training. Players now buy hand analysis products and receive chips that can be used in games and redeemed for prizes.
That approach allowed ClubWPT Gold to keep operating in markets including California and return to New York after earlier restrictions. Some gambling law experts have questioned whether the new structure fully avoids state sweepstakes laws.
Nevada now joins a growing restricted list. ClubWPT Gold also halted operations in Arizona in August and limits access in Tennessee following legislation that took effect in May.
The Nevada decision comes only months after ClubWPT Gold ran digital billboard advertising along the Las Vegas Strip during the World Series of Poker. Those ads promoted the platform primarily as a poker training product.
Nevada Online Poker Options Stay Limited
Nevada already has a narrow regulated online poker market, with WSOP Online providing real money poker through the Multi State Internet Gaming Agreement.
Alternative sweepstakes style poker access has also become more restricted as platforms adjust to changing state rules.
ClubWPT Gold said:
“In response to shifts in the regulatory environment, ClubWPT Gold will be pausing sweepstakes gameplay in Nevada.”
The company added that it remains optimistic that product modifications could support a future return.
Customers physically outside Nevada can still access eligible ClubWPT Gold services when located in an approved jurisdiction.
