Planet Hollywood Resorts International is set to enter the market of Georgia through a new integrated resort in Tbilisi. The project is being developed under a licensing agreement with Orbi Group and Block Group in association with Iconic Entertainment, and it is shaping up as a large addition to the city hospitality, gaming, and tourism mix.

Planet Hollywood Picks Tbilisi For Major Georgia Resort

Rather than a standard hotel launch, Planet Hollywood is attaching its name to a large mixed-use project already under construction in the capital. The wider site will span two towers with 1,200 rooms in total, combining a 500-room Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino with a 600-room Radisson Blu luxury hotel. On top of that, the plan calls for a casino floor measuring 50,000 square feet, a 4,000-seat space for entertainment and special events, and more than 70,000 square feet of Harvey Nichols retail space. Dining and nightlife outlets are also part of the scheme.

That mix gives the project a broader role than a typical hotel and casino opening. Developers are pitching it as a destination built around tourism, hospitality, retail, nightlife, and live events all in one place. In practical terms, that means Tbilisi is getting a resort complex designed to draw both visitors and local traffic, while also adding a large employment base with more than 2,000 permanent jobs expected.
