A leadership change has taken place at Flutter Brazil as the group prepares for a more structured and competitive online betting market. The shift follows the integration of NSX and comes at an important moment for operators active in Brazil iGaming.
Good to Know
Flutter Brazil announced the appointments through a LinkedIn update, noting that the company is entering a new phase after completing the acquisition of NSX, the owner of Betnacional. The group sees the adjustments as part of a long-term plan to reinforce its standing in the regulated market.
Studart moves into the chairman role after guiding the early steps of the NSX integration. He previously served as CEO of NSX and later oversaw the Brazilian unit after Flutter confirmed the deal in May. His new responsibilities cover strategic coordination, support to senior leadership and efforts to strengthen institutional engagement across Brazil iGaming.
The CEO role now shifts to Eduardo Monte, who joined NSX in October 2023 as COO. Monte will report to Flutter International CEO Dan Taylor and focus on aligning operations with global priorities while maintaining a strong local identity for Betnacional and other brands active in the region. Monte has more than twenty years in management, corporate finance and mergers. He built earlier experience at Deloitte and later worked as M&A director at Hapvida Saúde before moving into the iGaming sector with NSX.
Flutter Brazil described the changes as part of a broader effort guided by values such as integrity, innovation and framework. The company highlighted its goal to support an ecosystem rooted in technology, entertainment and responsibility for users in Brazil and other markets.
Studart earlier outlined optimism about Brazil direction in comments to iGaming.org, saying:
“The Brazilian market is going through a phase of consolidation that brings great opportunities for operators who invest with seriousness, a consumer-first mindset and a commitment to best practices.”
He also said:
“Flutter Brazil sees this new scenario as fertile ground for sustainable growth. By combining global scale with a deep understanding of local specificities, we aim to actively contribute to the sector maturation – offering relevant and safe experiences to users while reinforcing the pillars of trust, transparency and Brazilian culture that underpin our brands.”
The operator plans to rely heavily on the Flutter Edge technology stack to improve products and strengthen the competitive position of Betnacional and other NSX assets. Industry analysts expect the next year to include more consolidation, licensing adjustments and compliance requirements as the Brazilian online betting sector transitions into a regulated era.
Monte will oversee daily operations during that period, while Studart supports long-term strategy and coordination with the international leadership team.
