Matt Holt Named CEO of Gaming Compliance International

A familiar name in sports betting integrity has stepped into a new role. Matt Holt, well known across the gaming industry for his work tracking suspicious betting activity, is now the new chief executive officer of Gaming Compliance International (GCI).

Why Holt Joined GCI

Holt said the decision was straightforward:

What impressed him most is the firm’s AI-powered platform, capable of analyzing more than two billion transactions a day in regulated markets. The technology is already being used in places like the Philippines, where MegaXcess helped regulators report an 84% drop in black-market revenue in early 2025 compared to two years earlier.

Fighting the Black Market

Holt stressed that disrupting illegal gambling is central to GCI’s mission. By identifying payment processors, media channels, and data providers tied to offshore sites, regulators can block player acquisition and push bettors toward licensed operators. The platform also provides automated auditing tools to improve tax accuracy and transparency in online gaming markets.

A Track Record in Integrity

Before GCI, Holt built US Integrity, a firm credited with flagging unusual betting activity to leagues, regulators, and sportsbooks. He also held leadership roles at Cantor Gaming, where he helped launch Nevada’s first mobile betting app, and served on the board of the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association.
