Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd is moving to expand its presence in the Philippines through a new joint venture aimed at boosting gaming platform development and content services. The company announced the deal in a Tuesday filing, saying it had reached an agreement with a Pagcor-licensed partner based in the Philippines.
Good to know
While the name of the Philippine partner was not disclosed, Century Entertainment confirmed that the company is licensed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) to offer gaming system services and content development. The joint venture will focus on expanding these capabilities.
Century Entertainment plans to contribute technical support for research and development, marketing and business development teams, and administrative functions including finance, legal, and HR services. These elements are expected to support long-term platform growth and international reach.
The partner based in the Philippines will provide its existing proprietary gaming system, platform infrastructure, content, software, source code, and associated intellectual property rights.
The structure of the venture includes a five-member board, with Century Entertainment assigning three directors. Profits and losses will be split according to ownership percentage. Revenue will be tracked based on gross gaming income, and additional details, including earnings from third-party platforms, will be clarified in the final joint venture agreement.
The two companies aim to finalize the full joint venture agreement, covering governance and operations, within the next 30 days. The move supports Century Entertainment’s broader strategy of growing in the Southeast Asian gaming tech market.
