igh Roller Technologies is preparing to enter Canada’s largest iGaming market. The Nevada-based company has officially submitted its license application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and expects to launch later in 2025 if approved.
Good to know
- Ontario posted $2.3 billion in gross gaming revenue in 2024.
- High Roller’s platform includes over 5,000 games and uses machine learning tools.
- The company earned $81 million in revenue in Q4 and appointed a new CFO.
Ontario continues to attract new players in the regulated online gambling space, and High Roller Technologies wants in. With its license application under review, the company is eyeing a launch in the second half of 2025. The company’s CEO, Ben Clemes, said the application “marks an important milestone” for High Roller.
He also noted, “Once our application is approved, we anticipate that we will have the opportunity to launch our online casino product into the market later this year.”
The company’s interest in Ontario is not surprising, given the size of the market. The province reported $2.3 billion in gross gaming revenue in 2024, making it one of the strongest regulated iGaming markets in North America.
Alongside Ontario, High Roller has also shown interest in Alberta. The province recently approved new legislation that paves the way for a regulated online gambling framework. If Alberta moves quickly to implement the system, it could become a natural next step in the company’s expansion.
High Roller’s online casino platform features over 5,000 games from more than 90 developers. The platform uses machine learning and API-based tools to improve user experience and optimize gameplay.
Earlier in the year, High Roller reported $81 million in revenue for the fourth quarter and brought in Adam Felman as its new Chief Financial Officer. The company appears focused on scaling its product and entering new markets with a tech-driven approach.
Clemes summed up the company’s mindset with a forward-looking message: “We’re excited to roll out the red carpet for our new customers.”
