A new hotel project could soon reshape the area around Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Clark County commissioners are reviewing a proposal to build an eight-story Embassy Suites less than a mile from the stadium, home to the Las Vegas Raiders and recent host of Super Bowl LVIII.
Good to know
- The hotel site falls within the planned Stadium District redevelopment zone.
- Embassy Suites would include 220 rooms and a rooftop recreation deck.
- The project goes before the Clark County Commission on May 7.
The proposed location, on the corner of Valley View Boulevard and Quail Avenue, currently sits in an industrial part of town. However, that is changing fast. The larger Stadium District aims to transform the area into a hub of hotels, shops, and entertainment venues that serve fans and visitors all year.
According to the submitted plans, the Embassy Suites will feature 220 guest rooms, a ballroom, gym, spa, and several high-end amenities. A rooftop deck will offer a swimming pool and outdoor lounge space designed for guests attending nearby events.
The development is seen as a major early step in shaping the district. While the Stadium District still has many industrial buildings, the Embassy Suites project would signal the beginning of a hospitality shift that complements the $2 billion stadium.
In a letter to county officials, the hotel’s legal team highlighted its location within walking distance of the stadium. With frequent events like NFL games and concerts drawing large crowds, the hotel’s close proximity is expected to make it a popular lodging choice.
The long-term plan for the Stadium District includes creating a destination where sports, entertainment, retail, and hospitality overlap. Adding this Embassy Suites could give momentum to that transformation, turning the area into a round-the-clock entertainment zone.
