Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City has outlined a fresh wave of upgrades for 2025, with $50 million earmarked for property-wide improvements. The upcoming changes are part of a larger $270 million plan that’s been rolling out over the past seven years, transforming the resort since it opened in 2018.
Good to know
- Ocean Casino Resort plans to spend $50M on new upgrades in 2025.
- Two new restaurants by Stephen Starr will open this summer.
- The Asian Gaming space will double in size with 32 tables.
The biggest feature of the new investment is the expansion of the Asian Gaming space. Ocean Casino Resort will double the current footprint from 4,000 to 8,000 square feet, with 32 gaming tables offering games such as Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker. The space has been designed by R2Architects and is scheduled to open in the summer.
Beyond gaming, the property is also making moves in the hospitality space. Ocean will introduce five new dining venues in 2025, including two restaurants in partnership with well-known restaurateur Stephen Starr. Both concepts will be located in the lobby area and are expected to be ready by summer.
General Manager Bill Callahan highlighted the casino’s direction, saying, “Ocean continues to invest in property enhancements that enable us to provide an unmatched guest experience not only in Atlantic City, but nationwide.” He added, “We are introducing five highly anticipated dining concepts that our customers have been asking for. This year also marks an exciting milestone as we complete the entire hotel with fully renovated guest rooms and suites.”
The resort’s upgrades also extend to accommodations. The 2025 room investment marks the completion of the multi-year project to renovate all 1,860 rooms and suites. Ocean began this effort by completing 12 unfinished floors of Blu Rooms and Suites in 2022, left incomplete by the previous owner. In the two years that followed, more than 700 rooms were added, along with the Duplex and Bay suites.
