High 5 Games is shutting down its sweepstakes operations in six more US states, preventing new player accounts from being created as of February 18, 2025. The affected states are Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia. Players in these states have until March 14 to redeem any remaining sweeps coins before their accounts are permanently closed.
The move comes shortly after High 5 Games was ordered to pay $24.9 million in damages to Washington state residents following a lawsuit. While the company has not explicitly linked the two events, the timing suggests a possible connection. In response to the lawsuit, the operator announced that all in-game purchases made in Washington would be voided and refunded, though a 10% administration fee would still apply.
Players in Canada will also lose access to their accounts, with a final closure date set for February 28. However, High 5 Casino Classic Play will remain available to residents in affected areas.
With the latest changes, the list of states where High 5 Games no longer operates a sweepstakes casino now includes Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and West Virginia.
