Daly admitted to the media after his win, “This is my third World Series final table. I had a huge chip lead like this last year and blew it, so I was focused and I was doing everything I could not to screw this one up.”

Not new to the WSOP, Daly has several cashes in different mixed games like Triple Draw and H.O.R.S.E. He attributes his successful performance to his quick adaptability to opponents’ strategies and leveraging them for his advantage.

The decisive day of the tournament started with 17 contenders, swiftly decreasing to seven at the unofficial final table. High-profile players including Joe McKeehen, Daniel Idema, Matt Szymaszek, Dan Shak, Alex Torry, Daniel Maczuga, Michael Senter, Robert Como, Tom Koral, and David Bach exited early on.

Jeffrey Lo exited next, followed by Mavrick Yoo. The game then transitioned into a gripping five-handed phase where Daly began outshining the others. This was notably evident when he secured a massive win against Nick Pupillo.

Eventually, four-handed play ensued, and Daly managed to establish a commanding lead. He single-handedly held over eighty percent of the chips in play, knocking out his competitors one by one.

The game ultimately came down to heads-up play between Daly and Brent Mutter. Mutter, who had consistently picked his spots well throughout the tournament, met his end when Daly rivered a straight flush, marking an extraordinary finish and earning him his first gold bracelet.
