Benny Glaser Wins Fifth WSOP Bracelet in Event #38: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship

British mixed games expert, Benny Glaser, has cemented his place among poker elite by securing his fifth bracelet in the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The Brit bested the playing field in Event #38: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship, marking his first WSOP bracelet win since 2021. Back in 2016, Glased has secured double bracelet wins in that year’s WSOP.

Glaser took out a tough field of 130 entries to clinch the title and the largest portion of the $1,209,000 total prize pool, taking home $311,428. His achievement placed him alongside other poker players such as Josh Arieh, Brian Yoon, and John Monette, who also won their fifth bracelets this summer.

Oscar Johansson, the runner-up, received $192,690, significantly surpassing his previous WSOP career earnings of $85,327. Despite a commendable performance, he missed out on his first gold bracelet, mirroring his runner-up finish in Event #29: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw in 2018.

The final day of the competition witnessed a fierce contest among the last ten contenders. Players like George Alexander and Alexander Wilkinson, who began the day with short stacks, unfortunately, couldn’t build on their resources.

Glaser came to the fore by seizing a substantial chip lead as the tournament progressed. The day was marked by strategic gameplay, as David “Bakes” Baker and Julien Martini exited in sixth and fifth place, respectively.
