Entain Launches Sports Interaction and PartyCasino in Alberta

Entain has transferred Sports Interaction and PartyCasino into the regulated Alberta iGaming market. The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission issued licences to both brands on July 23.

  • Sports Interaction has served Canadian bettors since 1997.
  • PartyCasino enters Alberta with more than 3,000 approved games.
  • Alberta opened its private regulated market on July 13, 2026.

Entain Brings Two Established Brands Into Alberta

Sports Interaction now offers regulated online sports betting with Canadian customer support and operational staff in Calgary. The brand entered Canada nearly three decades ago, giving Entain an established local customer base as Alberta replaces grey market activity with provincial oversight.

PartyCasino brings more than 3,000 compliant casino games, including slots and live dealer tables. Both platforms also provide withdrawal services, account controls and responsible gambling features required under Alberta rules.

Shir Magen, Head of Canada for Entain, said:

“Alberta represents an exciting next step for regulated online gaming in Canada. What sets Entain apart is our deep commitment and roots in Canada.

“We understand this market and its customers. We design our product, offering, and customer experience with intention and on-the-ground knowledge.”

Entain said its technology and player protection systems will support products designed specifically for Alberta customers.

Alberta Becomes Second Canadian Private iGaming Market

Alberta launched regulated commercial online gambling on July 13, following the model first introduced in Ontario. AGLC regulates operators, while the Alberta iGaming Corporation conducts and manages the market.

The provincial government estimated that unregulated operators previously controlled around 70% of Alberta online gambling. The new system aims to redirect that activity toward licensed platforms with age checks, responsible gambling controls and a central self-exclusion framework.

Operators must also meet advertising, game integrity and player protection requirements. Sports Interaction and PartyCasino joined the regulated directory after the initial launch group, increasing competition across both sports betting and online casino gaming.
