Okada Manila Opens Dedicated Zone With 70 Slot Machines

Okada Manila opened a dedicated AGS and Aruze Gaming Global slot zone on Sunday, combining 70 machines with an agreement to introduce new games before other Philippine venues.

Good to Know

  • AGS and Aruze Gaming Global each supplied 35 machines.
  • The installation introduces an AGS cabinet with a 49-inch curved screen to the Philippines.
  • Aruze plans a new cabinet for Q1 2027, with the Philippines a potential first destination in Asia.

New Slot Games Get an Early Run at Okada Manila

Exclusive launches form a central part of the arrangement. Rick Colman, vice president of electronic gaming operations at Okada Manila, said both suppliers agreed to bring new products to the resort before a wider Philippine rollout.

“Anything that’s new, they’ll bring it to the market here first. So that’s a real advantage for us,” he said.

For AGS, the installation also offers a place to assess game performance before approaching other casino operators. Deric Goh, director of Mindslot-e, the exclusive AGS distributor in Asia, said another four to five titles could follow the three arriving now.

AGS previously recorded positive results in the Philippines with Lion Cash. Its latest selection includes Legends of Imperial 88, Triple Coin Treasures and Rakin’ Bacon! Triple Oink.

Meanwhile, Aruze Gaming Global supplied Triple Treasure Pot Spin, Cash Master Blaster and Horrorific! Senior sales account executive Michael Tuen said the supplier also plans to introduce a new cabinet in early 2027.

Pearl Lobby Location Serves VIP and Main Floor Players

The new zone sits at the entrance to the Pearl Lobby gaming floor. Upgraded LED displays and a dedicated layout aim to draw visitors into an area that previously received less attention.

“We thought this will attract people as soon as they walk in the door and bring to life an area that previously has not attracted as much attention,” Colman said.

The location serves both VIP customers and main-floor players. During the opening ceremony, Colman described it as the first dedicated AGS and Aruze zone in the Philippines and Asia.

Okada Manila operates in Entertainment City under Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc, a subsidiary of Universal Entertainment Corp.
