Tulalip Resort Casino has finished a three-year expansion and casino-wide renovation in Washington, completing work that added more than 400 slot machines and increased the gaming floor to 270,250 square feet.
Good to Know
Gaming capacity forms one of the largest changes. The new north section added more than 400 slot machines, taking the casino total above 2,600.
At the center of the renovated gaming floor now sits a 38-foot-tall Center Bar with a seven-ton dome. The 3,366-square-foot bar and lounge includes bar-top gaming and seating for up to 60 people. Contractors used thousands of feet of rolled steel and aluminum to build the dome.
Tulalip also renovated its 4,000-square-foot high-limit slots room and updated several casino restaurants.
The North Bar arrived earlier with the 70,250-square-foot addition. It offers cocktails, wine and craft beer alongside a covered outdoor patio and smoking area. Large timber arches and metallic Tribal storytelling spindle whorls feature at the north and east entrances.
Design across the property draws from Tulalip Tribes culture and the surrounding Salish Sea. Ceiling elements represent fish, nets, water currents, piers and marine life, while natural materials and blue, grey, cream, copper and gold tones reference water, beaches, forests and sunsets.
Construction started in January 2024 after Tulalip announced the project in November 2023. The north expansion opened on July 3, 2025, before work shifted across the remaining casino.
Tulalip Resort Casino also operates a DraftKings sportsbook, a 370-room hotel, 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a 3,000-seat outdoor amphitheatre. The property operates as an enterprise of the Tulalip Tribes.
“We are proud of the hard work and energy everyone has put into this project and to keeping Tulalip Resort Casino as the Northwest’s most distinctive gaming, dining, meeting, entertainment, and shopping destination,” said Marci Fryberg, President/COO of Tulalip Gaming Organization.
“We have been deeply gratified by our guests’ positive response throughout the three-year journey,” he added. “They have shared our excitement as each phase was revealed, knowing our goal is focused on delivering an unparalleled guest experience now, and far into the future.”
Swinerton Construction served as building contractor, while Rice Fergus Miller handled architecture for the project.
