Pure Casino Entertainment has joined the International Betting Integrity Association as the Alberta operator builds out online sports betting in the newly regulated provincial market.
Alberta launched regulated iGaming on July 13, 2026. Pure Casino now combines a seven-property retail casino business with a new online operation, giving the company a sizeable position across both channels.
Good to Know
Pure Casino entered online betting during a major change in the Alberta gambling market. Alberta iGaming Corporation oversees the commercial framework, while Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis regulates operators. Approved companies receive 80% of net iGaming revenue under the provincial model, after designated First Nations and social responsibility funding.
Betting integrity now forms part of the Pure Casino compliance setup. IBIA uses operator betting data to identify suspicious activity and share alerts with regulators, sports bodies and law enforcement.
Brad Belhouse, CEO of Pure Casino Entertainment, said:
“Launching our online betting operations marks an important milestone for Pure Casino’s iGaming Platform offering in Alberta, and joining IBIA is a key part of our integrity and compliance framework. Working with IBIA, the leading betting integrity body serving Canada’s regulated market, reflects our commitment to protecting customers, safeguarding sporting integrity and supporting a trusted, well-regulated betting environment.”
The membership also comes shortly after Pure Casino completed the Gamehost transaction on June 24. The deal lifted the group to seven Alberta casino properties and made Pure Casino the largest retail casino operator in the province.
IBIA currently represents more than 90 operators and over 200 betting brands. Its Global Monitoring and Alert Platform covers more than $300 billion in betting turnover and 1.5 million sporting events each year. IBIA reported 76 suspicious betting alerts during Q2 2026.
Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Pure Casino to IBIA. As Alberta’s largest land-based casino operator, Pure Casino brings significant scale and expertise to our Canadian and global integrity monitoring network. Its membership reinforces the integrity framework underpinning Canada’s regulated sports betting market and highlights the value of embedding collaborative integrity monitoring from the outset of a new regulatory regime.”
