Melco Resorts & Entertainment has confirmed a senior management change in Macau, with Scott Tang leaving the company after more than 15 years. Raymond Lo has taken over the relevant resort operations responsibilities on an acting basis while keeping his existing roles.
Good to Know
Melco Resorts confirmed the departure but gave no reason or exact date.
“We can confirm that Scott Tang is no longer with the company,” a Melco Resorts spokesperson told iGaming.org.
Tang held several senior positions during his time with the casino operator, including senior vice president for business development and casino services. He later became senior vice president and head of resorts operations Macau.
Rather than appoint an immediate permanent replacement, Melco handed the duties to Raymond Lo.
The company said:
“Appropriate transition arrangements have been put in place, with Raymond Lo, SVP, head of global marketing and general manager of Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs, overseeing the relevant responsibilities in an acting capacity, in addition to his current role.”
Lo already oversees global marketing as well as Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs. Altira operates as a casino hotel in Taipa, while Mocha Clubs runs electronic gaming venues across Macau.
Melco declined to provide further details about the departure.
“As this is an internal personnel matter, we will not comment further,” the company stated.
Management also said “business operations continue as usual”.
The personnel change comes shortly after Melco reported mixed Q2 2026 results. Net income increased 31.8% year over year to $22.7 million, although operating revenue fell 5.7% to about $1.25 billion. Adjusted property EBITDA declined 19.6% to $303.8 million.
Macau remains the core market for Melco, where the group operates City of Dreams Macau, Studio City, Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs. The wider portfolio also includes City of Dreams Manila, casino operations in Cyprus and a casino in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
