DigiPlus Interactive Corp has appointed Teneo as strategic adviser as the Philippine online gaming group prepares for further international expansion. The agreement follows licensing progress in Brazil and South Africa and a planned bid for a New Zealand online casino licence.
Good to Know
Teneo will advise DigiPlus on international strategy, risk assessment and business decisions as the company looks beyond its core Philippine market.
DigiPlus operates BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone in the Philippines. It has already started building an overseas pipeline, with Brazil becoming its first international market and South Africa lined up as another regulated entry.
South African regulators approved three DigiPlus licences covering manufacturing, bookmaking and bookmaker premises. Management has set a 2027 launch target for that market.
New Zealand could follow. The DigiPlus board approved an expression of interest for an online gaming licence earlier in August. New Zealand opened its licensing process in July and plans to award up to 15 online casino licences, with an NZ$19,000 application fee attached to the expression of interest stage.
DigiPlus said:
“Teneo will provide global perspective and senior counsel to help DigiPlus navigate complex business environments, assess emerging opportunities and risks, and make well-informed strategic decisions.”
The Teneo appointment adds external corporate advice while DigiPlus balances overseas growth with its existing Philippine operations. The company also established a Singapore hub to support international partnerships and corporate functions.
