New Jersey Adds Three Online Casinos, Totals 30 as Revenue Hits $271 Million

New Jersey now has 30 licensed online casino sites after Vegas Club Casino became the third platform to enter the regulated market since June. The launch came as internet gaming continued to outperform retail casino and sports betting growth.

Vegas Club Joins New Jersey Casino Market

G2 Digital launched Vegas Club Casino on Wednesday under a Caesars Entertainment agreement.

Former Rush Street Interactive CEO Greg Carlin founded G2 Digital with Dan Alexander, who previously worked on the early New Jersey growth of PlayStar. Vegas Club represents the first online casino project from Carlin since leaving Rush Street.

G2 Digital also plans launches in Alberta, Ontario and Pennsylvania, subject to approval.

Vegas Club follows Ember Casino and Betinia Casino, which entered New Jersey during June through separate Caesars market access arrangements.

Online Casino Revenue Drives New Jersey Growth

New Jersey internet gaming revenue rose 17.5% to $271 million in June, compared with $230.7 million one year earlier. First half revenue reached $1.59 billion, up 15%.

Atlantic City casino win slipped 0.7% to $257.3 million. Sports betting revenue fell 37.7% to $57.3 million, even though betting volume increased 16% to $917.2 million.

High player payouts during the NBA Finals and FIFA World Cup reduced sportsbook revenue. Total New Jersey gaming revenue reached $585.6 million for June, up 0.7%.
