The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission has expanded its response to illegal gambling websites, fake licence claims and spoof operator platforms.

Fake Licences Become a Consumer Protection Focus
Online platforms sometimes claim an Isle of Man licence without approval or copy the identity of a genuine operator. Others use IP routing to appear connected to the island.
The GSC now publishes a register of websites suspected of false licence claims or operator spoofing. A separate public register covers current and former licence holders, while another list confirms 40 approved URLs.
The regulator said a dedicated perimeter monitoring resource will identify suspect activity earlier and support faster action. The unit forms part of the new Intelligence and Enforcement Division, which will give staff more specialised responsibilities.
International work also forms part of the policy. The GSC provides support to overseas regulators and contacts Isle of Man licensed companies when local rules prohibit access in another market.
Recent cooperation with Türkiye included warnings about Turkish market restrictions, allowing local authorities to enforce access rules more effectively.
The regulator also seeks rapid removal of websites that falsely claim GSC approval.
Members of the public can report a website claiming an Isle of Man gambling licence by contacting the GSC Inspectorate.
