Merkur Adds an Online Layer to US Plans

Merkur Group already entered the land-based US supplier market through Gaming Arts, a Nevada-licensed developer of slot machines, bingo, keno and electronic table games. White Hat Studios now gives the group a direct route into regulated online casino content.

Founded in 2021, White Hat Studios became the first game supplier to release online slots across every regulated US iGaming state. Hard Rock Bet and Caesars Entertainment rank among the operators carrying its content.

Its portfolio includes House of Brands games, the 7s Fire Blitz series and the Jackpot Royale progressive jackpot network. Merkur can combine that online-first catalogue with Gaming Arts products as it develops games for digital platforms and casino floors.

“Joining Merkur Group is an exciting moment for everyone associated with White Hat Studios and, fundamentally, it is the best possible move to realize our ambitions for future growth and product innovation,” White Hat Studios President Andy Whitworth said.

“Working alongside the hugely experienced Merkur team will open new possibilities for us across iGaming and enhance our ability to develop a world-class omni-channel proposition that will benefit both operators and players.”

Merkur Group will acquire only the White Hat Studios content division. The White Hat Gaming platform and white-label business will remain with the current owners, keeping the transaction focused on game production and distribution.

Merkur Management Board Chairman Lars Felderhoff and Merkur Supervisory Board Chairman Michael Gauselmann described the studio as a strong addition to the group and a route into the US online casino sector.
