Golden Nugget Opens New Downtown Poker Room
The Rush Tower location places poker close to the parking garage, rideshare entrance and hotel traffic. Golden Nugget expects the busier position to attract hotel guests, Fremont Street visitors and recreational players.
Nine redesigned tables form the centre of the room. New dealer stations, improved lighting and upgraded chairs aim to make longer sessions more comfortable. Built-in chargers also let players power phones and tablets without leaving the table.
Golden Nugget will focus mainly on daily cash games, including No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha. Smaller poker tournaments will also appear on the schedule.
The opening gives players another option away from the Las Vegas Strip, especially during the World Series of Poker period. Demand for cash tables rises sharply each summer, while some visitors prefer the lower-key Downtown setting.
