@Higgins Wins Mystery Millions After 22,811 Entry Marathon

Event #75: $1,000 Mystery Millions gives players two ways to chase seven figures. Higgins won the tournament outright after beating 22,811 entries. Schiller, from Michigan, found the other path by pulling the $1,000,000 bounty after one qualifying knockout on day 2.

Higgins already had nine WSOP Circuit rings, but this win gave him a first WSOP bracelet. The final table also came tougher than most large field $1,000 events, with Dominik Panka, Thomas Hall and David Baker all in the mix.

Bounties created a second story. Two players who pulled major prizes also reached the final table. Vinay Boob took a $250,000 bounty before finishing sixth for $225,000, while Brian Smith pulled $100,000 and later finished fifth for $290,000. Kiat Lee also grabbed a $250,000 bounty.

Higgins built his stack before the final table by eliminating the 14th, 12th and 11th place finishers. Panka then removed Baker in seventh and later cracked Hall pocket aces with queen six suited after rivering a flush. Higgins entered heads up against Panka and controlled the finish. On the final hand, Panka flopped top pair against Higgins pocket aces, but Higgins turned a set and faded the river to seal the bracelet.

Ethan Yau Wins Hybrid Six Max Title

Event #76: $5,300 No Limit Hold’em Six Max Championship started online and ended live at Paris Las Vegas. The final six included Nick Schulman, Adrian Mateos, Dejan Kaladjurdjevic, Pedro Neves, Shannon Shorr and Ethan Yau.

Yau, known to many poker fans as Rampage, defeated Mateos heads up for $228,825 and his second WSOP bracelet. The win pushed his recorded tournament earnings above $4.9 million. It also followed a strong cash game run in which Yau booked more than $1.3 million across three high stakes streamed sessions.

Schulman began the final table as chip leader, but he exited first after losing a major pot to Kaladjurdjevic and then losing a race against Mateos. Yau doubled through Kaladjurdjevic, then knocked out Neves with pocket tens against ace queen. Shorr sent Kaladjurdjevic out in fourth before Mateos made a flush against Shorr set to reach heads up.

Mateos started heads up with a narrow lead. Yau took control after winning a big queen nine hand, then stretched the lead when ace ten held against ace six. The final hand saw Mateos all in with ten nine against Yau pocket queens. The board missed Mateos, giving Yau the title.
