Graton Resort And Casino To Hire 300 More Workers

Graton Resort & Casino is adding at least 300 more employees as its $1 billion expansion brings new hotel rooms, dining venues, entertainment space, and a larger smoke-free area to Rohnert Park.

Good to know

  • Graton has already hired more than 500 workers since January.
  • The next hiring round will support new restaurants, a sports bar, a hotel wing, a pool, and a 3,500-seat theater.
  • Interviews will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 24, July 9, and July 21 at Tony’s of North Beach in Rohnert Park.

Jobs Come Before The New Venues Open

The hiring push gives the Sonoma County casino a larger workforce before its next phase reaches full operation. According to The Press Democrat, Graton Resort & Casino needs staff for several new food and beverage outlets, including AYA Restaurant, Playbook Sports Bar, and SoCo Dough Co.

AYA Restaurant carries a “Vegas-meets-Wine Country” theme, while Playbook Sports Bar adds another entertainment venue for guests. SoCo Dough Co will focus on desserts, giving the resort more casual food traffic alongside its larger casino and hotel expansion.

Staff will also support the new smoke-free wing. That part of the project includes 221 hotel rooms, a swimming pool, and a 3,500-seat theater.

Graton Expansion Adds Local Economic Weight

Graton Resort & Casino said its expansion has already helped nearby hotels, restaurants, and retail businesses by bringing more guest traffic into Rohnert Park.

The company also expects the project to make Graton Resort & Casino the largest private employer in Sonoma County. That would give the casino a larger role in the local labor market, especially for hospitality, gaming, dining, hotel, and live entertainment jobs.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. Graton also offers up to $1,000 per year in tuition reimbursement, quarterly guest service bonuses of up to $1,000, legal and financial help for citizenship applications, and yearly pay increases for tipped and non-tipped workers.

Interviews will take place at Tony’s of North Beach, located at 288 Golf Course Dr. West in Rohnert Park. The resort itself is also located at 288 Golf Course Drive West.
