Flutter Entertainment has changed leadership at FanDuel, placing Christian Genetski in charge of the US sports betting and iGaming brand after Amy Howe left the company.
Good to Know
FanDuel will now run under Christian Genetski, a long time executive who already helped shape the business from the inside. Flutter said Genetski, President of FanDuel, will take responsibility for leading the division after Amy Howe left her CEO role.
Genetski joined FanDuel in 2015. His work has covered corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, legal, regulatory and government affairs. He also worked closely with legislators, regulators and industry groups as sports betting opened across the United States.
Flutter framed the leadership change around the next stage of FanDuel growth in the US market. Peter Jackson, Group CEO of Flutter, said:
“I would like to thank Amy for her contribution to Flutter and FanDuel and recognize the impact she has had on the business since joining in 2021.”
Howe said she leaves FanDuel after five years in the top job with confidence in the team and the brand. She said:
“It has been a privilege to lead FanDuel over the past five years. I’m incredibly proud of the business we’ve built and the talented team behind it, as well as the entertainment experiences we deliver to our customers every day.”
Flutter also gave Dan Taylor a wider group role. Taylor, CEO of the international division, will become President of Flutter Entertainment while keeping his current international duties. He has worked at Flutter for more than a decade across several senior roles, markets and brands.
His new role covers commercial delivery across the global brand portfolio. Flutter said Taylor will work with Peter Jackson and leadership teams across the group as the company looks to use scale, technology, investment and customer products for profitable growth.
For FanDuel, the appointment keeps leadership close to the existing US strategy. Genetski already knows the regulatory side of online sports betting, the FanDuel brand, and the partnerships behind the business. That gives Flutter continuity at a time when competition in US online betting and online casino remains intense.
