Bally’s Opens Redesigned Newcastle Casino At The Gate Complex

Bally’s has reopened a casino venue at The Gate complex in central Newcastle after completing a redesign of the property. Company leadership positions the site as the main Bally’s casino venue in the UK market.

The casino now operates under the Bally’s brand following interior updates and new gaming installations. Management plans to run the venue as a nightlife destination that combines gaming, sports viewing and dining in one location.

Gaming space includes slot machines, live table games and 38 electronic roulette terminals. A dedicated poker room also operates inside the property.

Sports programming is shown across 44 screens placed around the venue. Several sections of the casino are designed specifically for watching live events.

Food service features an American diner style menu available from lunchtime until 3:00 a.m. Weekend programming will include live entertainment.

Launch night includes a drinks reception with canapés along with live music and table game demonstrations. Visitors can also take part in cocktail making sessions.

A prize draw scheduled for 9:00 p.m. will offer a trip for two to Las Vegas or a cash alternative as the main prize. Other giveaways include free bets and cash rewards.

Guests attending the reopening may also register for Bally’s membership program. Membership is free and provides access to promotional offers and other incentives.

“We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the Bally’s brand to Newcastle and re-launching our first UK flagship venue in such a vibrant city. Having overseen this amazing refurb, I can genuinely say it is phenomenal,” said David Tait, General Manager of Bally’s Casino Newcastle.

After reopening, Bally’s plans a schedule of promotions and themed events. Programming will include daily competitions, sports themed activations and prize giveaways such as the Grab a Grand promotion.

The venue will also host a special event on March 21 with former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given featuring a live question and answer session.

Bally’s Corp. already operates in the UK through its online gambling business. The company described the Newcastle casino as its first land based property in the country and part of broader international expansion.
