The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) has elected George Goldhoff, president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, as its new president. He takes over the position from Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, who served in the role for nearly four years.
Goldhoff said he plans to continue building on the work done by his predecessor while supporting the Atlantic City casino industry and its role in the state economy.
“It is an honor to step into the role of Casino Association of New Jersey president and continue the strong foundation that Mark Giannantonio helped build. The Atlantic City casino industry plays a vital role in our state’s economy, from supporting jobs to driving investment and attracting visitors from across the region.

Goldhoff joined Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in January 2023. Before that role, he served as president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, where he oversaw a major rebrand and several years of strong performance for the property.
Earlier career roles include leadership positions with PURE Canadian Gaming and board service with Chatters Salons, both connected to the private equity firm ONCAP/ONEX. He also played a role in the launch of Bellagio Las Vegas and worked as general manager of Gold Strike Casino Resort.
Goldhoff remains active in community initiatives as well. He serves on the boards of The Leadership Studio and Stockton University Levenson Institute of Gaming Hospitality and Tourism.
Outgoing president Mark Giannantonio reflected on his time leading the association. “It has been a privilege to serve as president of CANJ,” Giannantonio said. “I am deeply passionate about this city and industry, and I believe we have a real opportunity to advance Atlantic City’s transformation as a premier destination for gaming, entertainment, and hospitality.”
