The online gambling market in Spain posted another strong year in 2025, according to new figures from the General Directorate for Gambling Regulation.

For the three months ending 30 September 2025, gross gaming revenue across online casino, betting, poker, and bingo reached €405.36 million. That result marked a 16.49 percent increase from the same quarter in 2024, although it landed slightly below the second quarter of 2025.

Player money flows moved in the same direction. Deposits climbed 18.19 percent year on year, while withdrawals rose 16.82 percent. Quarter on quarter, deposits stayed almost flat with a marginal 0.03 percent rise, while withdrawals increased by 2.7 percent.

Marketing investment also stayed elevated. Operators spent €154.84 million during the quarter, up 17.89 percent compared with a year earlier. Spending pulled back by 6 percent from the previous quarter, yet levels remained high by historical standards.

Promotions accounted for much of that activity. Promotional spend reached €82.03 million, reflecting a 23.47 percent annual increase. Of that total, €28.57 million went toward bonus funds released as prizes, while €53.46 million sat outside prize pools.

Conventional fixed odds sports betting dropped sharply, falling 42.98 percent quarter on quarter. Live betting moved in the opposite direction with a 32.82 percent increase.

Other fixed odds betting rose 23.85 percent, while fixed odds horse racing betting declined by 9.07 percent.

Bingo continued to slide, decreasing 5.92 percent from the prior quarter and 13.48 percent from the same period in 2024.
