The expansion doubles the casino floor and adds 400 slot machines. Several venues received updates, including The Perfect Pour Cafe, The Fireside Lounge, and The Evergreen events space. The project also brings expanded parking and a new retail shop called The Birch.

The Forest Grill, the property’s new restaurant, features a rustic Adirondack-inspired setting with steaks, seafood, comfort dishes, and a cocktail program crafted by chef Josh White. Jerry Marrello, vice president for the Oneidas regional casinos, said in a recent release:

“The Forest Grill and the attached hotel will be the ultimate complement to Point Place Casino and create a standout destination for people to stay and play in Upstate New York.”

Expansion Comes as Turning Stone Grows Toward 2026 Opening

Turning Stone Enterprises is also advancing a major expansion in Verona. The $370 million project includes a 258-room hotel, twice the current events space, and is scheduled to open in summer 2026, six months ahead of the original timeline. Once complete, Turning Stone will offer more than 1,000 rooms across four hotels and over 225,000 square feet of event space, the largest in New York State.

The Oneidas continue to operate under a 2013 agreement that grants exclusive gaming rights in a ten-county region in exchange for 25 percent of slot revenue. Last year, those payments exceeded $90 million.

During the Point Place celebration, Halbritter also introduced an updated logo for the Casino Hotel.

Several officials praised the expansion’s impact on the region. New York State Senator Joseph A. Griffo pointed to the long-term benefits the Oneidas have provided through casino and hospitality development. Griffo said:
