Red Rock Resorts is pushing ahead with more development at its Durango property in Las Vegas. The company confirmed that a new high-limit slot room and a large parking garage will open on December 15, adding another round of upgrades less than a year after the casino first launched.
Good to Know
Last week, Durango finished a 6,000-square-foot expansion of its casino floor, bringing in 100 more slot machines and games. The next wave arrives mid-December and includes a high-limit space designed to draw premium players, along with a new garage offering free parking for all visitors.
The high-limit room features 120 slot machines, including 30 fresh titles, a dedicated cage for quicker payouts, and a Jackpot Express system for streamlined processing. Red Rock Resorts describes the room as one of the most polished high-limit spaces in the city.
David Horn, vice president and general manager of Durango, said in a release:
“We are incredibly proud to unveil the first phase of Durango’s expansion, including one of the city’s nicest high-limit slot rooms. With the addition of more casino square footage and the latest machines, easy covered parking and high touch service in our high-limit room, we continue to offer our guests an exciting, convenient gaming experience.”
The new parking garage opens at 10 a.m. on the same day. With 2,000 spaces, covered access, and free parking for all guests, the structure aims to ease traffic and improve convenience during busy weekends and peak casino hours.
The combined value of both projects is $120 million, representing the first major upgrades since Durango opened in December 2023.
Red Rock Resorts has bigger plans in motion. Last month, executives announced a second expansion valued at $385 million. That project will take roughly 18 months and add more than 275,000 additional square feet to the site.
The next buildout includes:
• 400 new slot machines
• A 36-lane bowling center
• Luxury movie theaters
• A food hall and multiple new restaurants
• Several entertainment venues
The second expansion that will start in January of 2026 will reshape Durango into a broader entertainment destination for the fast-growing southwest Las Vegas corridor.
The high-limit room opens at 5 p.m. on December 15, and the parking garage opens earlier that day at 10 a.m.
It will feature 120 machines, including 30 new games.
More than 275,000 square feet of new space, including bowling, theaters, dining, and entertainment.
The first wave totals $120 million. The second expansion costs $385 million.
No. Parking remains free for all visitors.
