Flutter Entertainment Appoints Stefan Bomhard as Non Executive Director

Flutter Entertainment has named Stefan Bomhard as a non-executive director, with the appointment effective 1 October. His arrival comes one day after he steps down as CEO of Imperial Brands, a position he has held since 2020. Bomhard will also leave his role as an executive director at Imperial by year end, following the company’s earlier announcement of his retirement this autumn.

Bomhard brings a long track record in consumer goods. Before leading Imperial, he held senior roles at Bacardi, Cadbury, Unilever Food Solutions Europe, Diageo, and Procter & Gamble. He also serves on the board of Compass Group as a non-executive director.

Flutter chair John Bryant welcomed the appointment, noting: “Stefan has significant experience working in international environments, particularly in the operation, sales and marketing of well-known consumer brands.” Bryant added that Bomhard was chosen after an extensive search to strengthen the company’s board.
