Roughlya year after its launch, Scientific Games is celebrating the success of its new JURASSIC WORLD-themed lottery games, launched this summer through a partnership with Universal Products & Experiences. The licensed scratch games are performing well above market averages, with sales up to 161% higher than other games at the same price point.
Good to Know
The games span scratch, Fast Play, draw-based, Keno, eInstant, and second-chance digital formats. They are also linked to a nationwide winners’ event in Hawaii in 2026, where lottery winners will experience a Jurassic-themed celebration and compete for more prizes.
Scott Warner of the South Carolina Education Lottery said the franchise’s recognition made the launch a hit:
“The JURASSIC PARK franchise is one of the most recognizable and beloved brands in the world…The launch has been very strong, with six-week sales the second highest of any game over the past year. We’re really excited to send players to Hawaii!”
Similar enthusiasm came from Washington’s Lottery. Director Joshua Johnston noted that players connected immediately with the game’s nostalgia and design:
“From the recognizable artwork to the thrill of uncovering big prizes, our players embraced the game right away.”
Scientific Games says licensed brands help attract non-core players and boost loyalty signups by 63% more than non-branded games. The JURASSIC franchise’s broad appeal placed it in the “Keeper” quadrant among multiple player segments.
Tina Hoover, VP Licensing at Scientific Games, said:
“We could not be more excited that the JURASSIC WORLD-themed games are delivering thrilling experiences for players across the U.S. and that the larger-than-life sales performance of these iconic games is generating more funding for lottery beneficiary programs.”
With 20 lotteries participating, the expansion continues the company’s tradition of tying blockbuster brands to omnichannel lottery experiences—a strategy Scientific Games has pioneered since 2007.
