Fifteen Online Gambling Operators Ordered Out of Michigan

Michigan regulators once again have taken aim at unlicensed gambling websites, ordering 15 online operators to immediately stop targeting players in the state. The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) says the platforms were violating multiple state laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and sections of the Michigan Penal Code.

Good to know

  • Offending sites include 7 Bit Casino, Avia Games Inc., Grande Vegas Casino, High Country Casino, PrimaPlay Casino, Slot Madness, Slots Plus Casino, Sun Palace Casino, and Vegas Casino Online.
  • Each operator must halt all Michigan-based play or face further enforcement from the MGCB and the state attorney general.
  • Michigan has some of the most comprehensive legal online gambling regulations in the U.S.

According to the MGCB, these unlicensed platforms mislead consumers into thinking they are legitimate options while providing no player protections or accountability. Officials warned that anyone offering gambling in Michigan must be licensed or risk being shut down.

Failure to comply with the orders could trigger more aggressive action in partnership with the Michigan Department of Attorney General. The directive requires all 15 operators to immediately end any betting activity involving Michigan residents.

This latest crackdown follows the MGCB’s largest enforcement push to date on July 2, when it sent 19 cease-and-desist letters to other unlicensed operators. Regulators say these moves are part of a broader effort to protect consumers and keep illegal gambling from gaining a foothold in the state.
