Annexio Ends B2C Operations Under Isle of Man Licence

Annexio Limited is stepping away from its Isle of Man B2C licence, but not from the island itself. The company announced that it will voluntarily surrender its online gambling licence issued by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), citing shifts in market conditions.

Good to know

  • Annexio will stop offering bets under the Isle of Man licence.
  • The company is not shutting down or relocating — it remains based in Douglas.
  • Rising compliance and customer acquisition costs played a key role in the decision.

The move follows what the company described as a careful business review. As customer expectations shift and regulatory demands grow across multiple jurisdictions, Annexio found that continuing to operate under its current B2C model on the Isle of Man no longer aligned with its long-term plans.

Tom Brodie, CEO of Annexio, noted that the decision wasn’t taken lightly. He said:

“We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the GSC and of the compliance culture we have built here. This move reflects a shift in our operational strategy, not a departure from our values or from the Isle of Man itself.”

The company plans to wind down its platform activity under the Isle of Man licence but has no intention of leaving the island. “Our roots are here, and they remain here,” Brodie added. “We remain fully committed to the Island as our operational base and to supporting the local economy for the long term.”

Despite ending B2C operations in this particular jurisdiction, Annexio intends to maintain its presence in the global gambling market through other strategies better aligned with evolving industry demands.
