Treasure Island Becomes Accor’s Largest Hotel Globally

Treasure Island in Las Vegas is entering a new phase. The iconic 2,884-room resort will soon join Accor’s Handwritten Collection through a franchise agreement with Phil Ruffin, marking the French hospitality group’s first step into the Las Vegas market.

Accor will fold the property into its global network later this year, making Treasure Island the largest hotel under the Accor umbrella and the second Handwritten Collection location in the U.S., following Hotel Stratford San Francisco.

Treasure Island’s inclusion brings Accor’s North American portfolio to over 550 hotels. The move deepens its U.S. footprint with a familiar name in the heart of the Strip. Ruffin believes the partnership will help preserve and expand the hotel’s reach, saying:

“Treasure Island has long held a special place in the story of Las Vegas, and I am certain that Accor and Handwritten Collection will further enrich its legacy and attract new generations of guests and visitors.”

The resort has recently undergone a major refresh, updating design elements while retaining guest favorites like free parking, tropical pool views from the lobby, self-check-in, and 24-hour service. Dining options include Phil’s Steak House, Golden Circle Sports Bar, and Gilley’s Saloon, along with a total of 10 restaurants and eight bars.

Accor’s Camil Yazbeck described the deal as uniquely suited to Las Vegas:

“The city’s tagline is ‘What happens here, only happens here,’ and certainly there is no other place in the world where a collaboration of this scale and significance could come together.”

Guests can expect a mix of classic Vegas and modern amenities. The property includes a 90,000-square-foot casino, spa, wedding chapels, and event venues. It also connects to Fashion Show Las Vegas and continues to host Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère.

Handwritten Collection focuses on hotels that offer a personal guest experience and distinctive style. Treasure Island’s rooms deliver views of the Las Vegas Strip, Sphere, and Spring Mountains, and come equipped with SensaTIonal beds, soaking tubs or whirlpools, and marble bathrooms.

Sustainability has also been part of the update. The hotel recently earned a Four Green Globe certification from the Green Building Initiative for improvements in energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and resource use.

Thomas Dubaere, CEO of Accor Americas also commented:

“The addition of Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Handwritten Collection is a milestone achievement, not only for our Handwritten Collection portfolio, but for Accor’s growing presence of exclusively selected properties in the US market.”

Accor now operates more than 5,600 hotels across 110 countries and continues to scale its ALL Accor loyalty platform, which Treasure Island will soon join. The franchise model gives the Las Vegas property full access to Accor’s tools for sales, marketing, and distribution.
