Triton One Debuts in Jeju September 2 to 8 with Mid Stakes Poker Schedule

Triton Poker is trying something new this fall—and it is not just for the usual high-stakes regulars. The series known for six-figure buy-ins is about to open its doors to a wider crowd with the debut of the Triton One series in Jeju, South Korea.

Good to know

  • Triton One runs Sept. 2–8 at Landing Casino & Resort in Jeju.
  • Buy-ins for events will range from $2,000 to $20,000.
  • The series is aimed at players looking for more affordable entry to a Triton experience.

Triton One marks the tour’s first real step into mid-stakes territory. While still far from cheap, the series is a more accessible version of the usual Triton lineup. Think of it like a warm-up stage before the main act—the kind of thing the WSOP Circuit or WPT Prime offers to connect ambitious players with elite-level poker.

The Jeju stop will feature 12 events plus qualifiers. Players can expect a mix of single-day and multi-day no-limit hold’em tournaments, highlighted by the $8,000 Triton One Main Event that includes two starting flights and runs from September 5 through 8. There will also be $1,500 satellite qualifiers for those looking to get in for less.

It all begins with the $3,000 Triton One Genesis event. Other standouts include a $10,000 mystery bounty, two $20,000 single-day high rollers, and a two-day $15,000 event. The whole idea is to bring in players who might not usually get the chance to experience a Triton festival.

“Many poker players aspire to play Triton events, and Triton One offers precisely that chance,” said Triton CEO Andy Wong. “It’s an incredibly exciting moment for us to reveal what we’ve got planned for Triton One. Everyone plays poker for a different reason: for the thrill, the challenge, to take a shot. Triton One opens the door to players of all levels. It’s the gateway to poker’s top tier.”

Once the Triton One series wraps up, the regular high-roller action kicks off right after, from September 8 to 23. The Super High Roller Series brings the bigger buy-ins back into play, with tournaments ranging from $25,000 to $150,000.

The follow-up series includes no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and short deck. Key events include the $25,000 WPT Global Slam, a new $30,000 mixed no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha event, and a $100,000 no-limit hold’em main event scheduled for Sept. 16–18. The $100,000 pot-limit Omaha main event runs Sept. 19–21.

Triton Poker was created by Malaysian businessmen Paul Phua and Richard Yong back in 2015. Since then, the brand has built a reputation for hosting high-stakes tournaments in exotic destinations like Montenegro, Monte Carlo, the Bahamas, and now Jeju.
