Michigan regulators have once again taken action against unlicensed gambling platforms. The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist letters to five online operators accused of offering casino and sports betting services without proper state authorization.

The MGCB has ordered BoVegas Casino, BUSR, Cherry Gold Casino, Lucky Legends, and Wager Attack Casino to halt all operations targeting Michigan residents. According to the agency, these platforms offered gambling options such as sports betting, slots, blackjack, and promotional bonuses, all without the oversight required under Michigan law.
Executive Director Henry Williams said in a statement, “These illegal sites undermine the integrity of Michigan’s regulated gaming industry and put players at serious risk. We will not tolerate unlicensed gambling operations that exploit Michigan residents.”
The violations cited fall under the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
According to MGCB findings, BoVegas and Cherry Gold promoted online slots and table games to state residents without proper licensing. BUSR and Wager Attack were flagged for sportsbook operations conducted without state approval. Meanwhile, Lucky Legends offered what it called a “VIP experience” but failed to comply with any Michigan regulatory framework.
Williams added, “We will continue to take strong action to protect the integrity of Michigan’s gaming industry and to ensure that residents have access to safe, legal, and regulated gambling options.”
The five platforms have been given a 14-day deadline to cease all gaming operations within Michigan or risk further legal action. The MGCB says it will work closely with the Michigan Department of Attorney General if the platforms fail to comply.
