Banijay and Scientific Games Extend Deal or No Deal Collaboration

Scientific Games has decided to continue its long-running partnership with Banijay Rights, ensuring the Deal or No Deal brand remains part of its global lottery offerings. The agreement allows the gameshow-themed titles to remain available through both digital and retail formats.

Good to know

  • Scientific Games has produced 110 Deal or No Deal lottery games globally.
  • The license covers both retail and online formats in over 30 countries.
  • The collaboration began 18 years ago and included a major 2007–2008 player event in Hollywood.

Retail scratch cards, digital instant games, pull tabs, and terminal-based options have all carried the Deal or No Deal name since Scientific Games first secured rights from Banijay nearly two decades ago. The renewed licensing deal will keep the brand integrated into lottery products across North America, Europe, and Australasia.

Tina Hoover, Scientific Games VP of Licensing, confirmed the brand remains a strong fit for the company’s lottery catalog. “We are thrilled to renew our license with Banijay. Deal or No Deal is a universally recognized brand and a perfect fit for our popular licensed lottery games. Our creative teams are hard at work designing retail and digital play experiences that capture the excitement of this iconic TV gameshow,” she said.

Banijay Rights and Scientific Games have also worked together on special promotional events, including a standout 2007–2008 campaign where more than 230 winners from across the United States were flown to Hollywood. Players experienced a real-life version of the game, mimicking the tension and style of the television series.

What could be more fun than the chance to win prizes in a lottery game themed to a high-stakes TV game show of risk and reward?”
