More Fun in the Philippines with Bloomberry’s MegaFUNalo Casino

Bloomberry Resorts Corp has taken another step into digital gaming by soft-launching its new online platform, MegaFUNalo. The move was announced with full-page ads in local newspapers, grabbing the attention of both players and investors ahead of the 2025 rollout.

Good to know

  • Bloomberry shares jumped nearly 20% after the MegaFUNalo launch.
  • The platform adds to Bloomberry’s existing online operations under Solaire Online.
  • MegaFUNalo includes real-money games, free shows, and movie streaming.

MegaFUNalo is now live with a mix of casino classics and arcade-style games. The platform lets users play poker, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and slots—all in digital form. It also features live shows, movie streaming, and real-money prizes, aiming to build a wide base of Filipino online users.

The company has also lined up partnerships with local banks and mobile wallet providers, allowing users to make payments through trusted domestic channels. MegaFUNalo will operate alongside Bloomberry’s existing Solaire Online platform, which already offers live dealer games.

Bloomberry is no newcomer to the casino scene. It runs Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila’s Entertainment City and also operates a second venue, Solaire Resort North, located in Quezon City. With MegaFUNalo, the company is hoping to capture online attention from users beyond its physical properties.

Company chairman and CEO Enrique Razon had already hinted at the shift in strategy earlier this year. In April, he said, “Our strategy of aggressively pursuing our online business is how we intend to recover any lost revenue. This new mainstream brand will complement Solaire Online and is anticipated to bring our brand of online gaming entertainment to Filipinos nationwide.”

The timing of the launch helped push Bloomberry’s stock up nearly 20% on the first trading day of the week. The platform’s success now depends on how quickly it can build an active user base—especially with competitors already holding a strong position in the market.

DigiPlus Interactive Corp, a major competitor in the Philippines’ e-gaming sector, took three years to grow from 800,000 to 7.5 million monthly active users. Jeri Alfonso, equity research analyst at Unicapital Securities Inc, told the Inquirer that Bloomberry’s future in online gaming will likely rest on how effectively it brings in new users.
