UK Pro Benny Glaser Continues Hot Streak at WSOP, Wins Second Bracelet of 2025

Benny Glaser has made his presence known early in the 2025 World Series of Poker. Within just 10 days of the series, he has already collected two bracelets—his sixth and seventh career wins—cementing his spot among poker’s elite.

His latest win came in Evet #15, the $1,500 Mixed Omaha Eight-or-Better event, where he outlasted a field of 1,239 players and earned $258,193 in prize money. Just days earlier, he had taken down the $1,500 Dealers Choice tournament. That back-to-back success puts him in a tie for seventh on the all-time WSOP bracelet list, alongside players like Daniel Negreanu, John Hennigan, and Scott Seiver.

Good to know

  • Glaser is now tied for seventh all-time with seven WSOP bracelets.
  • His 7th bracelet win added $258,193 to his career earnings.
  • Only six players in history have ever won three bracelets in one year.

Glaser’s success also continues a trend that has held for over 25 years: at least one player winning multiple WSOP bracelets in the same year. The streak began in 2000 with Chris Ferguson, and Glaser has made sure it lives on in 2025.

The final table was competitive, with David Shmuel chasing a second win of the series before falling in third. Glaser had to battle through a deep heads-up session against Travis Pearson. Pearson held a big lead at one point, but the swings were constant as both players traded the chip advantage multiple times. Glaser eventually pulled away after the final break, sealing the win with a well-timed run of cards and a rivered wheel that left Pearson short-stacked.

Glaser spoke about the mental side of his game as the match stretched well beyond the planned structure. “I think I used that break quite well,” he said. “I intentionally tried to kind of clear my head and tried to reset and focus on the future, anticipation of the future hands.”

Pearson showed resilience with a few late doubles, but the final hand ended with Glaser scooping the pot, pairing his king and making the best low. “It was a really tough battle,” Glaser said after the match. “He was tougher than I expected, and I was kind of impressed, in a way.”

The win adds to Glaser’s already impressive track record. Back in 2016, he had a similar hot streak, winning both the $1,500 and $10,000 Omaha Eight-or-Better events in quick succession.

Now with two bracelets secured this summer and more than 75 WSOP events still to play, Glaser could push for more. Only a handful of players have ever won three bracelets in one summer. No one has ever won four.

Whether or not he hits that mark, Glaser is pleased with his pace so far. “It’s something that I value and it’s really nice, to me,” he said. “It’s something I aim for, too. And yeah, it makes me very proud of my accomplishments.”
