European Safer Gambling Week Returns November 17 to 23

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has locked in the dates for the next edition of European Safer Gambling Week. From November 17 to 23, the initiative will return for its fifth year, continuing its focus on raising awareness around safer gambling practices across Europe.

The week-long campaign brings together a broad range of voices in the gambling sector, from operators and regulators to support organizations and researchers. Together, they aim to promote responsible gambling habits and encourage an open dialogue around player protection.

EGBA Secretary General Maarten Haijer reflected on the momentum from 2024, calling it a strong foundation for this year’s efforts. “We’re pleased to announce the dates for European Safer Gambling Week 2025 and are excited to build on the exceptional momentum of last year’s campaign,” he said.

He also emphasized the importance of working together across the sector. “The initiative has become Europe’s leading platform for safer gambling awareness and last year brought together a record coalition of 195 partners across 26 countries to promote player protection. This is a shared commitment and we invite organisations across the industry to join us for this year’s edition and help us foster a strong culture of safe and sustainable gambling in Europe.”

Participation is open to any organization with a stake in gambling, including technology providers and experts-by-experience. As the initiative continues to grow, EGBA hopes even more players in the industry will contribute to shaping safer gambling habits across the continent.
