Antonio Galiana kicked off his 2025 World Series of Poker campaign in style by winning the $5,000 no-limit hold’em event in Las Vegas. Just a year after his $2,500 freezeout victory, Galiana added a second bracelet and another major payday, this time collecting $582,008 after defeating a 693-player field.

Normand began the final table as chip leader, but Galiana stayed close behind and eventually took control. Along the way, France’s Gaetan Balleur recorded his largest-ever score by finishing fifth, and China’s Renji Mao went out in fourth. Christian Roberts, after losing a huge pot to Galiana, settled for third place and $270,407.

Galiana and Normand battled back and forth heads-up. A gutsy bluff with six-high helped Galiana narrow the chip gap, and he edged into the lead just before the final hand. On a board that gave Galiana a flush and Normand a straight, the chips went in. Galiana held the better hand and sealed the win. Normand took home $387,979 for second.

This win adds another major milestone for Galiana, who continues to prove his consistency on poker’s biggest stage.
