BetMGM is expanding its presence in women’s sports through a new deal with the Las Vegas Aces. The partnership makes BetMGM the exclusive online sportsbook and casino partner of the reigning WNBA champions. The move signals growing interest in women’s professional sports from major betting operators.
Good to know
- BetMGM will donate $50 to The Just One Project for every steal made by the Aces this season.
- A WNBA-branded online slot game is in development and will launch in BetMGM iGaming states.
- BetMGM signed a separate agreement with Century Casinos on May 27 to expand into Missouri.
Under the new agreement, BetMGM will gain prominent visibility at Michelob Ultra Arena, including signage, VIP seating, and access to pre-game shootarounds. BetMGM will also receive advertising rights on the Aces’ social media platforms and content opportunities throughout WNBA broadcasts and digital channels.
In addition, BetMGM will act as an official gaming partner of the WNBA through 2027. The deal includes commercial inventory on national telecasts, ticket packages, and content partnerships built around WNBA teams and players.
Slot game and fan engagement planned
To build further engagement with fans, BetMGM will introduce the first WNBA-branded online slot game. The title will roll out across states where BetMGM’s iGaming platform is currently active.
WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison welcomed the deal, pointing out the league’s recent momentum. “BetMGM is doing just that by offering new and expansive betting markets for WNBA fans. And by partnering with the Aces, BetMGM continues to recognize the extraordinary potential for growth that comes from tapping into the power of women’s sports and the connections fans have to their favorite players and teams.”
Community effort takes shape
To kick off the partnership, leaders from BetMGM, MGM Resorts, the Aces, and The Just One Project gathered in front of the Bellagio fountains on May 27. Together, they launched the “Steals for Meals” program. Under the initiative, BetMGM will donate $50 for every Aces steal to The Just One Project, a local nonprofit that supports food security and other services in southern Nevada.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt described the partnership as an ideal fit. “As we enter this era of tremendous growth in women’s sports, BetMGM could not have two better organizations to partner with than the WNBA and the Aces. Not only do the Aces play in our backyard at Mandalay Bay, but they share our commitment to giving back to the community.”
BetMGM reported a 133% increase in WNBA betting activity during the 2024 season, suggesting demand is growing fast. The Aces, already a back-to-back champion, continue to draw fan interest, and the WNBA’s visibility has improved across broadcast and streaming platforms.
