The 2025 World Series of Poker has officially begun, returning to Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas for another packed summer of poker. After Jonathan Tamayo captured $10 million in the largest Main Event ever held last year, a new lineup of bracelet winners is now set to take shape.
Good to know
- The 2025 WSOP features 100 live and 30 online bracelet events.
- Online play now includes a combined four-state pool: Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
- Mystery Millions returns with million-dollar bounty prizes and five starting flights.
The 56th annual WSOP runs from May 27 to July 16. This is the first series organized under the new ownership of NSUS Group Inc., which purchased the WSOP brand from Caesars Entertainment for a reported $500 million shortly after the 2024 series ended.
The action starts with the $1,000 buy-in Mystery Millions, a popular no-limit hold’em bounty event with five starting flights. From Day 2 onward, players can earn mystery bounty payouts for every elimination. Last year’s edition included two $1 million knockout prizes, along with others valued at $500,000, $250,000, and three worth $100,000. The champion also received a $1 million payout.
Kicking off alongside Mystery Millions is the $500 Industry Employees no-limit hold’em event. The tournament, formerly known as the Casino Employees Event, retains its place as the traditional series opener but now has an updated name.
The 2025 WSOP Main Event begins on July 2 with four starting flights. Late registration will remain open until Day 2D’s midpoint on July 7. The final table will run across July 15 and 16, concluding with the crowning of a new world champion.
Live streaming of events on PokerGo will start on May 31.
