FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, has launched a new poker room, giving card players in the state a fresh spot to play. The updated space includes 21 tables and sits right next to the casino’s sportsbook, offering players both convenience and a range of added features.

Players can expect a modern setup that includes a self-service beverage station and a streamlined cashier area to speed up transactions. A featured final table area adds a tournament feel and can be booked for groups or special occasions.
John Fell, director of table games, highlighted what the space means to the casino and players alike. “Our new poker room is more than just a new location — it’s a true hub for everything poker,” he said. “Whether you’re here for daily games, major tournaments, or just to enjoy the atmosphere, this space delivers the energy and amenities that players expect from a top-tier poker destination.”
In addition to regular cash games, FireKeepers runs daily tournaments throughout the week. The property also hosts the Major Series of Poker Tour (MSPT) every spring and fall, a high-stakes event that draws players from across the region. The next MSPT stop will take place from May 15–18, headlined by a $1,100 buy-in main event.
As part of the renovation, the former poker room will now be absorbed into the main casino floor and repurposed with slot machines.
FireKeepers joins a growing list of casinos investing in new or improved poker rooms. Planet Hollywood is preparing to (re-)open a new 23-table poker space on the Las Vegas Strip in time for the World Series of Poker. Caesars Palace is also reopening its poker room ahead of the WSOP.
