he World Series of Poker has finally done something players have been begging for — it just made the registration process a whole lot easier. After years of standing in painfully long lines for over an hour just to sign up, WSOP 2025 will roll out the new WSOP+ app, promising a smoother and quicker way to get into the game.
Good to know
- Players can now pre-register and skip long lines at the registration cage.
- The WSOP+ app offers live event registration, schedules, chip counts, and more.
- A Caesars Rewards number and one-time ID check are required to activate full app access.
Anyone who has ever taken part in the WSOP knows how frustrating the old sign-up process could be. Lines often stretched for over an hour, just to register for a tournament. That issue is being tackled head-on with the launch of the WSOP+ app — something many players have long hoped for.
The new app allows players to register and buy in for events before arriving at the venue. Instead of waiting in physical queues, players will receive push notifications when their seats are ready thanks to the app’s virtual waiting list.
Everything in one place
WSOP+ goes beyond registration. The app serves as a centralized hub with event schedules, structure sheets, rules, chip counts, results, seat assignments, and prize payouts. For the thousands of players expected at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas this summer, having that much info in one spot will save time and hassle.
WSOP CEO Ty Stewart called the app a major step forward, saying it will “further elevate the WSOP experience” by letting players lock in their seats early and stay informed with everything they need on their phone.
Jack Effel, Senior VP of Poker Operations, said the upgrade is all about impact. “There’s no question this innovation should reduce wait times, allowing participants more time to get to the felt and enjoy the events they love,” he said.
How to register with WSOP+
To use the app, players first need to complete a one-time ID verification at the WSOP cage. A Caesars Rewards account is also required, which can be created online or at any Caesars property.
Once verified, players can register for events straight through the WSOP+ app — available now on both Android and iOS. Those who still prefer the old method can register in person at the main casino cage inside Paris Las Vegas starting May 15.
Summer events kick off May 27
WSOP 2025 begins on May 27 with the popular Mystery Millions, which includes five Day 1 flights, a $1 million top bounty, and a first-place prize of at least $1 million. A total of 100 gold bracelets will be up for grabs, with the Main Event running from July 2 to July 16.
If you’re heading to Vegas this summer, be sure not to miss out on this year’s edition of Kenny Hallaert’s tournament calendar with all the tournaments running in town during these months.
