Gamban Now Available in Finnish Through Veikkaus Partnership

More people in Finland can now access gambling self-exclusion tools in their native language, as Gamban has rolled out full support for Finnish. The update removes a key barrier for individuals looking to manage or stop their gambling activities and focus on responsible gaming.

Jack Symons, CEO of Gamban, said the change is about making help more accessible. “Language should never be a barrier to accessing help. By introducing Finnish to Gamban, we’re ensuring that more people in Finland can access the tools they need. We hope this update makes the process of blocking gambling on devices more intuitive and effective.”

Gamban, known for its software that blocks gambling sites and apps, is already partnered with Veikkaus—the state-owned betting operator that currently holds a monopoly on gambling in Finland. Through this partnership, Veikkaus offers Gamban licences free of charge to its customers.

The tool is available to anyone who wants to block gambling access and is also provided during care calls to customers showing signs of risky behavior.

“Veikkaus has built a comprehensive and unique safer gambling environment for our customers, and Gamban is an additional service to those who want to make a self-exclusion to all Veikkaus games,” said Susanna Saikkonen, VP of Sustainability at Veikkaus. “It’s also offered to customers with signs of risky behaviour when they are contacted through care calls. Gamban has been a really helpful service, and we are happy that it’s now available in Finnish.”
