Las Vegas is preparing for the U.S. Poker Open starting April 8 at PokerGO Studio inside ARIA Resort & Casino. The eight-event series, featuring buy-ins from $5,000 to $25,000, will gather top poker pros. But for those unable to attend or unwilling to spend that kind of money, Global Poker is offering a parallel online series running from April 8 to April 20.
Global Poker will host 16 online trophy events—eight using Sweeps Coins and eight with Gold Coins—plus freerolls on both April 7 and April 12. The main Sweeps Coin event, with a SC 100,000 guarantee, and the Gold Coin main event, with GC 35,000,000 guaranteed, take place on Sunday, April 13. The schedule includes mystery bounties, progressive bounties, turbo formats, and deep stack games.
Online Players Can Compete for Real Prizes
Players in the online U.S. Poker Open can win more than just trophies. Global Poker is offering merchandise, Tournament of Champions entries, and prize packages. Winners of Sweeps Coin events can compete for a $5,000 Vegas trip, with a check presentation at the PokerGO Studio. Gold Coin winners will receive signed felt cutouts from the live USPO event winners.
Anyone who plays in any online trophy event qualifies for a shot at two Players’ Championship Semis. The top 180 finishers from each will advance to a final round, where another Vegas trip and SC 5,000 are up for grabs.
