Michigan Takes Action on 11 More Offshore Online Casinos

Michigan authorities have taken action against 11 offshore gambling sites that were found offering services without approval from the state. The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) issued cease-and-desist orders after discovering that these operators lacked the required licenses to legally operate in Michigan.

The targeted websites include Shazam Casino, Highway Casino, SlotsRoom, Ruby Slots Casino, Las Atlantis Casino, Bet Big Dollar Casino, Blood Moon Casino, Spinfinity, Jumba Bet Casino, Grand Eagle Online Casino, and DogsFortune. All were found violating Michigan’s gambling regulations by accepting players without proper authorization.

According to the MGCB, the sites used tactics that often left users unable to access their winnings. Players complained about facing complex or unreasonable wagering conditions that made it extremely difficult to withdraw funds, even after meeting the stated terms.

Investigators flagged these platforms for deceptive behavior. Users frequently ran into problems with delayed payouts, unresponsive support, and unclear terms. Many of these issues would not exist under Michigan’s licensed operators, which are subject to strict oversight.

The agency urged residents to verify whether an online gambling site has a valid license before using it. Anyone with information about illegal gambling activity can report it directly to the MGCB.

Henry Williams, Executive Director of the MGCB, made it clear that cracking down on unlicensed operations remains a top priority, saying:

The Michigan Gaming Control Board remains fully committed to ensuring a fair, safe and lawful gaming environment for all Michigan residents.

Our actions today underscore our unwavering dedication to holding illegal operators accountable. Shutting down these unlicensed platforms is critical not only to maintaining the integrity of Michigan’s regulated gaming industry but also to protecting residents from predatory practices and unreliable gambling experiences.
