Scientific Games and the Florida Lottery have extended their collaboration for an additional three years. Scientific Games has been the state’s main or only source for Scratch-Off games since its inception in 1988. The purpose of this extension is to increase the funds that support Florida’s public school system.
Florida Lottery Secretary John Davis emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Our mission is to maximize revenues for the enhancement of public education in Florida, which have totaled more than $48 billion thus far. Since 1997, we’ve helped send more than one million Florida students to college on a Bright Futures Scholarship.”
Enhanced Collaboration for Greater Impact
The Florida Lottery will continue to work with Scientific Games’ Enhanced Partnership (SGEP) initiative and continue to deliver Scratch-Offs. The goal of this project is to boost gaming performance and maximize revenue to fund educational initiatives. The money supports the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, Florida’s public schools, colleges, and universities.
A key factor in the Lottery’s success has been Scientific Games. In 1997, the collaboration broadened to encompass rapid game management, offering the Florida Lottery cutting-edge game concepts and promotional tactics.
John Schulz, Scientific Games President of Americas and Global Instant Products, highlighted the positive outcomes of the collaboration. He stated, “The Florida Lottery’s partnership and collaboration with Scientific Games has resulted in Scratch-Off performance that is consistently among the best in the world. We’re very proud that our work together has continually improved instant game profits to benefit education in Florida.”
Scientific Games has introduced numerous branded games to the Florida market, including popular franchises like Monopoly and Loteria. These licensed titles have resonated with players, contributing significantly to the Lottery’s sales growth.
